Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Apple manages subscriptions. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Say It Here and choose Cancel Subscription. You can also open the Premium screen in the app and tap Manage subscription. Deleting the app or your Say It Here account does not cancel billing.

Why does Premium still appear active?

Premium status comes from the App Store receipt and RevenueCat. A cancelled subscription can remain active until its paid period ends, and TestFlight sandbox subscriptions may renew or expire on an accelerated schedule. Close and reopen the app to refresh its status. If Apple shows no active Say It Here subscription and the app still shows Premium, contact us with the app version and build number.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Use the same Apple Account associated with the purchase, open the Premium screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Restoring cannot create a charge by itself.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Settings → Delete Account & All Data. This requests deletion of your Firebase account, profiles, Pulse posts and comments, reactions, notification tokens, onboarding records, and product diagnostic events, then removes local app data. Apple or Google may ask you to sign in again. Deletion cannot be undone and does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check notifications in both the app's Settings and iOS Settings → Notifications → Say It Here. Daily reminders are scheduled on the device. Pulse activity notifications require an internet connection. Notification text is intentionally generic.

Is my writing private?

Saved reflections, drafts, People notes, and plans are encrypted on your device. Some writing is also processed by cloud services: remote AI features send the text and relevant context needed to generate a result, and the app records some Today/Drafts text and AI outputs in private Firebase diagnostics for operation and troubleshooting. Pulse posts and comments are shared with other Pulse users. Read the Privacy Policy for the complete explanation.

Does the app send messages for me?

No. Say It Here only helps you reflect or draft words. Nothing is sent to another person unless you copy or share it yourself.

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or someone you trust. Say It Here is not an emergency service. You can find helplines by country at findahelpline.com.
